BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A ribbon-cutting was held Saturday morning to unveil Burlington’s newest addition off the bike path: A new bike park.
A project 10 years in the making is finally done. Right next to Leddy Park tucked away in the trees is a bikers paradise.
There are twists, turns and jumps but all skill levels are welcome. The park features an easier trail, and one for more advanced bikers. Project leaders say they’re thrilled with how it came out.
“I walked out here after all that time kind of thinking about it and thinking how cool it would be and talking to people about it and doing surveys, I get choked up when I come out here just seeing people enjoying it,” said Sean Melinn, head of Burlington Bike Coalition.
The Burlington Bike Coalition is looking to expand this park in the future.
