Minister for Excise and Mines and Geology Kollu Ravindra exhorted the leaders of the TDP, JSP and BJP to gear up for the upcoming local body elections with the same spirit with which they won 16 Assembly seats in combined Krishna district. He called upon the leaders to highlight the achievements of the government in the last one-and-a-half years.
Addressing a meeting of the leaders from combined Krishna district at the R&B guest house here on Saturday, Mr. Ravindra said that the ruling party leaders should thwart the misinformation campaign unleashed by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders Perni Venkataramaiah and Jogi Ramesh.
Referring to the dispute between Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Tiruvuru MLA K. Srinivasa Rao, the Minister said that the issue would be addressed by the Chief Minister, while commenting that differences of opinions were quite common in political parties like in families.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sivanath said collective efforts were being made by the TDP, JSP and BJP to develop the combined Krishna district on all fronts, and that the results could already be seen. Due priority has been accorded to welfare, he said, and stressed the need for the three parties to meet once every month to take stock of the status of development works and implementation of welfare schemes.
TDP presidents Konakalla Narayana Rao (Krishna) and Nettem Raghu Ram (NTR district), MLAs Bode Prasad, Yarlagadda Venkat Rao, Varla Kumar Raja, Vasantha Krishna Prasad, Sriram Rajagopal, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Mandali Buddha Prasad (JSP), JSP NTR district president Samineni Udaya Bhanu and BJP NTR district president A.
