A new Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre is set to open at Komaranahalli near Harapanahalli in Vijayanagara district on November 3. The facility, established by the Jaya Education Trust, aims to provide affordable holistic healthcare based on yoga and naturopathy principles.

Announcing this at a press conference in Ballari on Friday, Trust secretary Mahesh S.N. and Chief Medical Officer Rajesh Padekal said that the inauguration will follow a series of religious programmes on November 2. Siddalinga Rajadeshikendra Swami of Ujjaini Mutt and Varasadyojata Swami of Tegginamath will attend the event.

Spread across 6.5 acres, the Janani Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre will have a 100-bed capacity and offer therapies such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, magnetotherapy, acupuncture, diet therapy, and mud therapy, along with yoga-based rehabilitation programmes. The hospital will also provide accommodation ranging from general wards to private rooms and cottages.

Dr. Padekal said that the centre’s services are aimed at addressing lifestyle-related health issues through natural methods. “Yoga and naturopathy are gaining global recognition for their role in preventive and holistic healthcare. The centre will make such treatment accessible to people in this region, who often travel long distances for similar care,” he said.

The hospital, located about 5 km from Harapanahalli, will charge an inclusive daily fee of ₹1,200 for accommodation, meals, and basic treatment. The Trust has also been running a degree programme in yoga and naturopathy at Harapanahalli for the past three years.

Officials said the new facility would also support wellness tourism, being located close to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi.

Udayashankar Bhatt, Media and Public Relations Officer of the Janani Group of Institutions, was also present at the press conference.
