POWNAL, Vt. (WCAX) – One lucky man is alive after flipping his truck which was then hit by a train.
It happened early Friday morning by the Green Mountain Racetrack in Pownal.
Police say 27-year-old Joshua Rand rolled his truck, which was resting on its roof on the train tracks when police arrived. Rand was able to get out of the truck, only suffering minor injuries.
Police say a southbound train was unable to be contacted and collided with the truck.
No one was injured as a result of that crash, and the cause of the initial crash is still under investigation.
