$1.3 Million Boost For Tobago’s Cultural Programmes

An additional $1.3 million is being invested in Tobago’s cultural programmes.

During Day 4 of the Standing Finance Committee, Minister of Finance, Davendranath Tancoo, said these funds will be allocated to both new and existing initiatives.

“They include the Fireside Cold Pot and Glute Oven competitions or sessions, the Traditional Dance Folk Festival showcase, Rhythm, Rhymes, and Riddles, Know Your Museum exhibition showcase, Tambu Bamboo video series, Arts for the Aging, Spiritual Baptist Liberations, Emancipation celebrations, Independence Day, Cultural Aspect, Patriotism Month, Republic Day, Divali Celebrations, World Travel Market, Cruise Ship Season, Mas on the Move, Outer Week Carnival, Ready, Set, Go, several initiatives that are under this Head which require the funding.”
