Altoona football in its regular season finale on Friday never trailed against Carlisle, as the Mountain Lions hung 21 fourth quarter points on the Thundering Herd to cruise to a 31-21 win.
Altoona pulled away despite holding possession for just 13:24 and mustering only 39 passing yards. Following a scoreless third quarter for both sides, the Mountain Lions scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Altoona’s Cody Chathams off just nine carries ran for 110 rushing yards and three touchdowns to power the Lions to 206 yards on the ground.
