Aloha High School evacuated after reported gas leak

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Students evacuated Aloha High School Friday morning after reports of a gas leak in the school, authorities said.

According to an alert on the school’s website, at around 9:37 a.m., students and staff evacuated the building.

A short while later, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said they responded to the school along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the evacuation.

People are being warned to avoid the area.

Northwest Natural is currently investigating the cause of the leak.
