RCB Faces Backlash For Tweet On Stampede!

Something extremely unfortunate happened at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru today as the RCB victory event amassed uncontrollable crowds which led to a stampede at the stadium. This stampede resulted in the death of 11 people while many are severely injured.

However, the shocking thing here is that the celebration continued inside the stadium, despite the prevailing situation outside.

After the completion of the event, RCB came up with a consolation tweet, and this in turn generated a lot of criticism and negative feedback.

“We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us.

RCB mourns the tragic loss of lives and extend our heartfelt condolences to the affected families.

Immediately upon being made aware of the situation, we promptly amended our program, and followed, the guidance and advice of the local administration.” RCB tweeted on this matter.

However, there was already a lot of public outrage on RCB continuing with their felicitation ceremony while a stampede had happened outside. And on top of that RCB said they’ve constrained the event after coming to know about the incident, which wasn’t exactly the case.
