We started watching Monster: The Ed Gein Story, which is part of the Netflix anthology series. The series takes real-life monsters like Jeffrey Dahmer and the Menendez brothers and brings them to life with the help of Hollywood. Like I mentioned, I don’t like Hollywood’s version of Horror films, but this series grabbed onto me like a ghost in the darkness.
Ed Gein’s story is so wild that it made him famous in Hollywood before he was even dead. Movies like 1960’s Psycho, 1974’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the low-budget film Deranged were all based on Gein.

Once we began watching this series, we were doomed. We scrolled and found other spooky shows and movies based on real-life events and people. It’s been so bad that we’re watching funny, light-hearted shows to ensure we go to bed in a happy mood.
We’re not the only ones who are in the scary watching mode, a new survey found that about 28% of people love watching horror movies, and will watch them as much as they can. This also causes another issue, as the same survey says that nearly 3 in 10 adults are still scared of the dark.
The data also showed that watching a horror movie caused 28% to wake up during the night, 22% had lower-quality sleep, and 12% slept way less than those who don’t watch scary movies.
