There is a Monday Night Football doubleheader on Oct. 20 and it opens in Ford Field in Detroit where two of the best teams in the NFC are squaring off as the Detroit Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This NFL game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The Buccaneers are 5-1 and undefeated on the road so far. Last week was the first win for Tampa Bay in which the team didn’t need to get the game-winning score in the final minute. The 30-19 victory over the San Francisco 49ers featured Baker Mayfield going 17-for-23 for 256 yards and two scores. Rachaad White and Sean Tucker both had rushing touchdowns and four receivers had at least 45 yards with White and Emeka Egbuka combining for seven catches and 45 yards as the only two pass catchers who didn’t hit the mark individually.
The Lions are 4-2 and coming off a 30-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. In Detroit’s two losses, the team combined to score 30 points. In each of the Lions four wins, they’ve scored at least 34 points. Jared Goff went 23-for-29 for 203 yards and two scores last week on the road, and the squad only rushed for 98 yards. Amon-Ra St. Brown had nine catches for 45 yards and running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combined for 126 yards fro scrimmage.
