UK mother brutally attacks and injures husband in Crete hotel

A brutal incident of domestic violence took place late on Wednesday in a luxurious hotel in Crete when a mother from UK violently abused and injured her husband and father of the couple’s three minor children who were present at the incident.

The family seems to have come for a vacation in Crete and instead of enjoying the island, the young British woman attacked her husband and almost went to gouge out his eye when a huge fight broke out between them.

According to information from patris.gr, the situation got out of control and the husband’s screams were heard throughout the hotel complex. It was other hotel guests and the facility staff who called the police.

Until the first police car arrived, everyone believed that the young man  was beating his wife.

However, this was not the case as they saw him coming out of the room screaming in pain and holding his eye with his hand.

The victim was initially taken to a hospital in the Lasithi prefecture and from there it was deemed necessary to be transferred to Heraklion, as the risk of blindness was high.

Information indicates that the woman threw a mobile phone with all her strength, which seriously injured her husband in the eye.

The young man, after being examined by doctors and remained in the hospital for observation, was discharged and returned to the hotel to take care of his minor children. They stay in Ierapetra until the wife’s procedures are reportedly being concluded.

The woman was arrested and is in detention facilities of the Lassithi Police Station.
