If you say the name Taylor Sheridan, there are very few people who wouldn’t know who you were talking about. If by chance you’re one of those people, let’s have a brief Taylor Sheridan recap.
Sheridan is an actor, writer, director, producer, and creator of some of the biggest TV series and movies in the last ten years. He’s the man behind the massive hit shows Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, Tulsa King, NOLA King, Y: Marshals, The Dutton Ranch, plus the movies Sicaria, Hell or High Water, and the 2017 movie about the Wind River Reservation titled Wind River.
Needless to say, but Sheridan has been a busy fella.
With the internet being full of rumors and keyboard warriors trying to stir the pot on specific subjects, it’s hard to discern what’s true, but sources are saying that there will be a sequel to the movie Wind River.
Wind River: The Next Chapter is reportedly in development, set to pick up a few years after the original movie. If you recall, in the original film, Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen’s characters, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Agent Cory Lambert and FBI Special Agent Jane Banner, were searching for the killer of 18-year-old Natalie Hanson.
The sequel is going to focus on her once drug-addicted brother, Chip, who is now a tracker for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In the new flick, he’ll be enlisted by the FBI to look into murders that occurred on the Wind River Reservation.
Reports say that Martin Sensmeier will reprise his role as Chip, and Gil Birmingham will also be back as Chip’s father, Martin. As far as Taylor Sheridan’s role, he is reportedly not leading this film; instead, it will be directed by Canadian filmmaker Kari Kogman and written by the team of Patrick Massett and John Zinman.
At this point, there’s no release date available, but according to IMDB, the new film will also star Jason Clarke, Scott Eastwood, and Alan Ruck. Clarke, who has a lengthy credits page, says that it may be coming sooner than people think.
It’s extraordinary. It’s set within the Native community. Martin Sensmeier is the lead in that. It’s got an insane cast. It’s a beautiful movie. It’s been locked up with the legalities, but now it’s about to come out soon
