Purchasing land in Uttarakhand has become more expensive. New circle rates were implemented on Sunday. Most parts of the state have seen a 22 percent increase, while Nainital has seen a 50 percent increase.
The price of land on Rajpur Road, the most expensive area based on the circle rate, has increased by nine percent. With this increase, the land rate on Rajpur Road from the Clock Tower to the RTO office is now 68,000 rupees per square meter, compared to 62,000 rupees per square meter previously.
Following a recommendation from District Magistrate Savin Bansal, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) KK Mishra issued orders implementing the new circle rates from Sunday. According to the administration, the new circle rates have been implemented in 1,044 non-agricultural (586 in the Sadar area) and 536 agricultural (174 in the Sadar area) areas of the district.
