MDOT officials will be in Worcester County looking for community feedback

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md.  – The Maryland Department of Transportation is holding a series of public meetings as part of bringing a statewide tour.

MDOT will host one in Worcester County on October 7th, in Snow Hill.

Officials will discuss the agency’s draft consolidated transportation program.

It runs between fiscal years 2026 and 2031, and includes $21.5 billion in the Maryland state transportation network.

The various Maryland counties are hosting the event and will include a Q&A for members of the public at the end. Officials are hoping to get community feedback, as they outline the state’s investments and county transportation priorities.

MDOT Assistant Secretary for Project Development, Joe McAndrew, says it’ll be vital in ensuring Marylanders are heard and understood.

“We hope to not do our work in a vacuum, and we hope that it is responsive to their needs. We also acknowledge that while there are a lot of resources allocated to the state, it is not able to ultimately able to address every need instantaneously.

The meeting in Worcester County will take place at 1 West Market Street, Room 1101, in Snow Hill.

It starts at 10 a.m.
