JHS Volleyball Drops First Set, Then Stops Williston

JAMESTOWN – For the second straight match, Jamestown Blue Jays Volleyball had a sluggish start and a fine finish.

Jamestown came back from a first-set loss to defeat Williston Saturday 24-26, 25-15, 25-15, 25-13 at Jerry Meyer Arena.

The Coyotes (0-17, 0-11 WDA) had won only three sets out of 30 in conference play before winning the first set against Jamestown (10-7, 7-4 WDA).  The Blue Jays then eased past Williston in the final three sets.

Lucy Falk scored 21 kills and 16 digs for Jamestown.  Claire Marker had nine kills and two blocks.  Claire Iverson notched eight kills.  Mari Anderson had seven blocks.  Hannah Attleson scored 26 set assists and 19 digs.  Amelia Newman served eight aces.

Jamestown will host Dickinson at Jerry Meyer Arena on Thursday.  Coverage will begin at around 6:45 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.  Live and archived video will be available at the Jamestown 107.1 Sports YouTube Channel.
