Sewing factory creating 300 jobs inaugurated in Chui region
AKIPRESS.COM – Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and the Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobayev on September 20 visited a new modern sewing factory KG TEX in Chui region, the Cabinet’s press service said.
The factory is one of 134 industrial enterprises set to open this year and its official inauguration took place as part of the celebration of the Independence Day of the country.
The plant has created 300 job places. Its production capacity is up to 100,000 units of clothes a month. The goods will be supplied not only to domestic market, but will be exported to the EAEU countries, the statement says.
The project has been implemented as part of cooperation of the states, business and partners. The total cost of the project is estimated at $2 million.
Torobaev emphasized that the opening of new industrial facilities is being carried out at the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers on the launch of 100 industrial enterprises annually.
As he noted, in 2025, out of the planned 134 enterprises 76 have already been commissioned.
As a result of 8 months of this year, 15.6% growth has been recorded in the sewing industry compared to the same period of the last year.
