REPORTS in the Bosnian media reveal that “Malaysian Prince” Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim has been named as a new investor in a club in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League.
Bosnian media say the owner of Johor Datul Ta’zim (JDT) is close to investing in FK Sarajevo alongside current investors Tan Sri Vincent Tan and Ismir Mirvic.
Three Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD) trainees also underwent trials with the team through collaboration with the National Sports Council (MSN) in July.
FK Sarajevo is among the most decorated clubs in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League, with five league titles and eight Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup crowns to their name.
Negotiations with TMJ have reportedly been ongoing for about six months and about to be finalised.
If completed, the move would mark Tunku Ismail’s first European club venture. – September 18, 2025
