Friday is set to be a summery day with temperatures reaching up to 29° in the far south, as warm winds move in from the south, weather forecasters say.
But the late sunshine and warmth will be short-lived, lasting just a couple of days at the most.
Saturday will be sunny and warm in the eastern half of the country, particularly close to the German border. But in the western half, the cloud will increase as the day progresses, bringing rain, possibly thunder, and cooler temperatures.
Sunday will be overcast nationwide but mainly dry, with the temperature falling to no more than 18°.
Next week will be changeable, with plenty of sunshine and occasional showers, with temperatures between 16° and 18°, the KNMI weather bureau said.
