TV SHOW SET TO GUIDE YOUTH CAREERS

Maseru, Sept. 17 — A young entrepreneur, pitched his show at Sebabatso Youth Empowerment Initiative Conference that is ongoing in Maseru.

The show called After School TV by Mpho Patrick Motsoene aims to broadcast on Lesotho Television.

Mr. Mots’oene said two months ago, the government of Lesotho declared a state of disaster against youth employment. He mentioned that this phenomenon is exacerbated by lack of essential skills and knowledge about the job market, lack of access to career guidance and resources and lack of expert advice on strategies to enhance opportunities.

He shared his journey of navigating career challenges, revealing that he originally wanted to become a lawyer but was persuaded by his grandmother to study nursing.
