In Isani district, on Beri Gabriel Salosi Avenue, one of the biggest kindergartens in the capital, N109, was opened on Monday, September 15, 2025.
The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, visited the new building together with Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani and Head of Kindergarten Management Agency Kakha Abuladze, and congratulated kindergarten children on the start of the new school year.
The Mayor noted, “Today, the educational process in kindergartens has begun, which we hear about in the news. 109 kindergartens were built in Isani district, which is the largest in the capital. It can serve up to 600 foster parents.”
Kakha Kaladze mentioned,” As of today, 470 little ones are registered in the kindergarten. Another news is that counting in gardens will be possible electronically, making it even more convenient.” “I would like to congratulate the children and the teachers for starting the educational process,” he added.
According to him, they will continue to implement similar projects. Newly built kindergartens will be added to the city, and the old ones will have appropriate jobs, so that their children, little ones, have all the conditions for learning and education.
The head of the management agency of kindergartens introduced to the mayor of the capital a new system of digital counting of children, which will work in 10 kindergartens of the city in pilot mode from September 15, and by the end of the year, all kindergartens will be included in the system. During the presentation of the program, the mayor of the city was also given a symbolic census card.
The N109 kindergarten located on Monk Gabriel Salossi Avenue has 20 groups and will serve more than 600 children. The preschool is equipped with all local and international standards of preschool education – providing child safety with fire fighting and video surveillance systems, an elevator for the disabled, and a technical elevator for kitchen staff. The kindergarten has playgrounds and a terrace for sports activities.
Construction and equipment of the kindergarten were financed by 8 million GEL from the capital’s budget.
The N109 garden has been demolished due to an accident, and the construction of a new building has been planned instead. The head of the agency showed the city mayor a photo of the situation before rehabilitation.
On the site, along with the mayor of the capital, Giorgi Rcheulishvili, the deputy of the district majority, Kakha Labuchidze, and the delegate of the parliament, Nika Elisashvili, were present.
