The Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) is proud to announce that Mrs. Paula C. M. Lee will deliver the feature address at the opening ceremony of its 58th Annual Delegates Conference, being held under the theme: “Technology and Solidarity: Navigating the New Workplace.”
Mrs. Lee is a highly respected professional whose career spans leadership, communications, education, and governance. She is the Managing Director of PCM Lee Communications and Consulting, the Executive Producer and Host of The Paula Show and the Executive Director of the Lifelong Learning Unit at The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.
Her diverse career began at Cable and Wireless Telecommunications, where she served as part of the senior leadership team, leading projects in education, culture, sports, media relations, and corporate communications. As a consultant, she spearheaded a successful campaign that enabled Sembcorp Water Antigua to recover US$8.4 million in debt. Her professional journey has also seen her serve as an Electoral Commissioner, representing Antigua and Barbuda in electoral missions across Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United Kingdom.
“Mrs. Lee’s extensive experience in the corporate world, along with her work in leadership and education, gives her a unique perspective on how technology is reshaping the modern workplace,” said ABWU General Secretary Sen. David Massiah. “We are confident that her insights will inspire and guide our delegates as we explore how unions and workers can adapt, innovate, and remain united in this era of rapid change.”
The opening ceremony of the ABWU’s 58th Annual Delegates Conference will be held on Sunday, 21 September at the Union’s Freedom Hall headquarters.
The ABWU Annual Delegates Conference is the Union’s highest decision-making forum. It provides a platform for members to engage in meaningful dialogue, shape policy, and chart the course for the Union’s advocacy on behalf of workers across Antigua and Barbuda.
