The Public Authority for Manpower, chaired by Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi, held its first coordination meeting with officials from the Needs Assessment Department and the Information Systems Center to review Phase One of the Needs Assessment System on the ‘Ashel’ platform and discuss its operational procedures.
Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi, the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, stressed the importance of ensuring smooth implementation of the Needs Assessment System through the ‘Ashel’ platform for companies and the efficient completion of related transactions. She highlighted that having employee salaries on file is a prerequisite for applying for the service, ensuring fairness and seriousness in the assessment, reported Al Rai newspaper.
The statement came during the authority’s first coordination meeting with officials from the Needs Assessment Department and representatives of the Information Systems Center, chaired by Al-Osaimi, to review Phase One of the Needs Assessment System on the ‘Ashel’ platform and discuss its operational mechanisms.
The authority stated in a press release that the meeting is a continuation of the implementation of the previously launched system, which allows employers to submit needs assessment requests electronically in a secure and seamless manner, with a precise determination of the number of workers required.
It explained that applications are processed by staff from the Needs Assessment Department, who verify the data and attachments before transferring them directly to the Inspection Department for completion of procedures.
The meeting included a visual presentation by Information Systems Center staff, explaining the system’s workflow and reviewing the most significant updates to the needs assessment request service.
It also discussed future projects aimed at developing needs assessment mechanisms in line with technological and scientific advancements, ensuring greater efficiency and objectivity in meeting labor market requirements.
