Legendary actor and martial artist Chuck Norris will appear in Prague on November 22–23 for the “Weekend with a Legend” fan event, organized by VDN Promo.
The program, marking the agency’s tenth anniversary, will be held at the House of Fun Prague entertainment center in Máj. Tickets start at 990 CZK, offering fans the chance to meet Norris, take photos, and get autographs on personal items.
Petr Větrovský from VDN Promo explained that a recent survey determined Norris as the top choice to celebrate the milestone. “His career and the humor surrounding his persona made him a clear favorite,” Větrovský said. The organizers plan to announce additional stars in the lineup in the coming weeks.
Norris, now 85, first rose to prominence as a martial artist. After joining the U.S. Air Force straight out of high school, he served as a military policeman in Korea, where he discovered his passion for martial arts, including Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate.
Early attempts at breaking concrete blocks with his bare hands led to injuries, but he persevered, eventually opening multiple karate schools in California and becoming a world champion from 1968 to 1974.
His Hollywood career began as a consultant for martial arts scenes, notably on Demolition Squad, and he later appeared alongside Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon (1972).
Norris became an action movie star in the 1980s with films such as Missing in Action, Invasion U.S.A., and Delta Force. He achieved further fame with the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, which ran from 1993 to 2001, and made his last major film appearance in 2012’s The Expendables 2.
Outside of film, Norris has been politically active, supporting conservative U.S. politicians, including Presidents George H.W. Bush and Donald Trump.
He has also promoted programs for troubled youth and appeared in various commercials, including a 2010 Czech mobile operator ad, humorously reacting to the traditional Christmas carp ritual.
