Warren Central’s boys’ soccer team earned a pair of home wins Saturday, topping Marshall County 2-0 and beating Madisonville-North Hopkins 8-0.

Against Marshall, Wilfred Larios and Mzaliwa Noel each scored an unassisted goal for the Dragons.

Goalkeeper Almian Sakanovic tallied three saves to preserve the shutout.

Noel scored two goals and added two assist against Madisonville. Daniel Rivas scored two goals and had an assist, Larios finished with a goal and an assist, Andrew Menjivar, Glorie Kihusa and Poe Reh each scored a goal, Daudi Kaburu notched two assists and Darwin Murillo also added an assist.

Sakanovic and Justin Alvarez-Bell combined on the shutout for Warren Central (9-1), which hosts District 14 rival Bowling Green on Thursday.

Glasgow 4, North Hardin 4

Jared Malagon scored two goals as host Glasgow battled North Hardin to a 4-4 tie on Saturday.

Isaiah Ramos added a goal and two assists, Ronaldo Puldon scored a gol and Ian Parocai chipped in with an assist for the Scotties.

Goalkeeper Josue Lopez made 11 saves for Glasgow (4-5-2), which hosts Foundation Christian Academy on Monday.

Girls’ soccer

Greenwood 2, McCracken County 0

Caroline Drexel and Clara Willis each scored an unassisted goal as host Greenwood shut out McCracken County 2-0 on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Laney Lockhart recorded the shutout for Greenwood (6-6), which hosts Gallatin (Tennessee) on Tuesday.

Calloway County 8, Franklin-Simpson 1

Franklin-Simpson dropped an 8-1 decision to Calloway County in the Kentucky 2A Championships state semifinals Saturday at Nelson County High School.

Kaim Steward had the lone goal for Franklin-Simpson (9-1), which hosts Monroe County on Monday.

Cross country

Storm Invitational

Warren East’s boys’ and girls’ cross country teams swept the team competition in Saturday’s Storm Invitational at Madisonville-North Hopkins.

In the girls’ meet, Warren East scored 59 points to top runner-up Union County by two points. Kendall Meeks tallied a runner-up finished to lead the Lady Raiders, with Emma Wilson adding a sixth-place finish. Chloe Bradshaw (15th), Bella Oatley (21st) and Haley Wilson (26th) added scoring finishes for East.

Glasgow’s Anne Rhoades Pike finished ninth overall.

Warren East’s boys’ scored 70 points to top runner-up Muhlenberg County (84) in the 11-team meet.

Matthew Strode led the Raiders with a third-place finish, with Sean Root (8th), Nolan Hudnall (14th), Noah Cartwright (28th) and Caden Richardson adding scoring finishes.
