The General Electricity Company announced on Thursday the arrival of 29 parcels containing spare parts for the North Benghazi power station.

The company indicated that the spare parts were supplied by the German company Siemens Energy and will be used to perform a major overhaul on the fifth gas unit by the middle of this September.

The company said that it is continuing its efforts to develop and renovate generation units to increase production efficiency, which contributes to improving the performance of the public electricity grid and meeting the growing demand for electrical energy in various Libyan cities.
