Popular Nollywood producer, Afeez Owo, has reacted to the recent public apology tendered by veteran actor Yemi Solade for slapping him on a movie set years ago.
Tribune Online reports that Solade, during an interview, admitted his action and expressed regret, noting that he had also discussed the matter with some of their colleagues.
In a fresh reaction captured in a viral video from his appearance on the African A-List podcast, Owo said he had since put the matter behind him and holds no grudge against Solade, whom he described as a senior brother.
“After seeing his apology, I let go of the incident. Even if he didn’t apologize, I would still not hold it against him because he is like an elder brother. When an elder corrects a younger one, even if the elder is wrong, it’s usually the younger one who is asked to apologize,” Owo stated.

He explained that at the time of the incident, he was the production manager in charge of the welfare of actors and crew.
According to him, the misunderstanding occurred when the crew was relocating from Ibadan to another filming site.
“I told everyone to let me know what they needed so I could get it for them before we left. Unfortunately, Uncle Solade didn’t quite understand me, and when he got hungry, he slapped me out of frustration,” he added.
