Gambian wonderkid Yankuba Minteh was the star of the show as Brighton pulled off a sensational 2-1 win over Manchester City in Sunday’s Premier League clash.
City took the lead early, but Brighton fought back in the second half, with Minteh stealing the headlines.
The 20-year-old scored the equaliser before setting up the winner, earning his first-ever Man of the Match award in the English top flight.
Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle last year and has quickly become one of the Premier League’s most exciting young talents.
Known for his pace, skill, and eye for goal, the Gambian international is drawing attention from fans and pundits alike.
After the match, Minteh couldn’t hide his joy, dedicating the award to his team staff. “I never thought I would win this,” he said, holding the MOTM trophy with a broad smile.
“But it’s for you, admin, because you believed in me.”
