HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 72-year-old man was taken to the hospital after he was pinned in his vehicle during a crash near Zeeland, deputies say.
Around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, he was headed south on 96th Avenue in a Nissan and turned left onto Adams Street in front of a northbound Hyundai. The two vehicles crashed head-on, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the Nissan, who is from Zeeland, was pinned inside his vehicle during the crash. He was later taken to the hospital with injuries that deputies say are life-threatening.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old Holland woman, told deputies she was injured but did not choose to be taken by ambulance.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
