FAIR HAVEN, Vt. (WCAX) – A fugitive was arrested in Fair Haven after allegedly fleeing and injuring officers.
Police there say they spotted 47-year-old David Brown on South Main Street in town and realized he was a wanted man.
Police then say Brown fled from them on a bike into a wooded area. He was later found in a garage on Prospect Street.
While trying to put him in a patrol car, they say Brown kicked an officer in the groin and injured the cop’s finger.
Police learned Brown was wanted on multiple warrants in Vermont and was a fugitive from justice in New York state.
He is now being held at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.
