Arkansas State Police are investigating a Sunday shooting in Holly Grove that left one woman dead and two other people injured, officials said.
Officers arrived at the intersection of Dr. Herd Stone and Smith streets and found 24-year-old Shanautica Parks of Stuttgart wounded by gunfire, a news release from state police said Monday. Parks was pronounced dead by the Monroe County Coroner, police said.
Two others, a 19-year-old woman from England and a Stuttgart man, 49, were taken to local hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening gunshot injuries, the release stated.
Parks’ body will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the manner and cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
