Strong Jamaican Team Selected for FIBA Basketball Tournament

President of the Jamaica Basketball Association, Paulton Gordon, believes the senior men’s team assembled to compete in the upcoming FIBA Basketball Pre-Qualifiers in Mexico is more than competent to navigate their way through the tournament.

The Pre-qualifier is set for August 8- 10 in Mexico with the Jamaicans drawn in Group A alongside Barbados, Costa Rica and host Mexico.

Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Qatar.

According to Gordon, the team is currently going through their paces in Florida, fine tuning prep work for the qualifiers.
