LARAMIE, Wyo. — Wyoming Cowgirl Malene Pedersen was recently named a finalist for the 2026 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game. The All-Star Game is scheduled for April 4.
Pedersen earned the honor by being named one of 100 of the nation’s top women’s basketball seniors, and is one of just three finalists for the prestigious game from the Mountain West Conference. A two-time All-Mountain West honoree, Pedersen averaged 17.2 points per game this season on 44.6% shooting from the floor and 34% from beyond the arc, leading the Cowgirls with 55 3-pointers.
Pedersen, who closed her Wyoming career with a career-best 29 points against Air Force, scored in double figures in 49 consecutive games to close her illustrious career.
Pedersen is seventh in program history with 1,713 career points, averaging 13.2 points per game for her career. She finished sixth in UW history with 639 career field goals and 10th in 3-pointers with 167 made. Her career free throw percentage of 88.4% is the best in program history.
