East Pennsboro Township Police charged an 18-year-old Enola man last week in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girl in April, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

On April 17, Cumberland County Children and Youth Services notified East Pennsboro Township Police of an 18-year-old man who had sexually abused a 13-year-old girl.

A children and youth services caseworker then requested a forensic interview, which took place on May 2.

During the forensic interview, the victim told investigators that Gabe Bressler, who frequently spent time at her home, had been talking to her on Snapchat since she was 12 years old.

During the Snapchat communications, which took place over multiple months, the conversations grew increasingly sexual, with Bressler asking the girl for lewd pictures and videos, the affidavit said.

After the girl’s 13th birthday, Bressler, on an unknown date, sexually assaulted her at her East Pennsboro Township home.

The girl said she was sitting in her living room with Bressler when he sexually touched her and had sex with her, the affidavit said.

Bressler is charged with statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, sexual abuse of children, corruption of minors, aggravated indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor.

As of Wednesday, Bressler posted his $2,500 bond and was released from the Cumberland County Prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 28.
