A second suspect arrested in connection with the recent mass shooting incident in Westbury is expected to make his first appearance in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The 36-year-old, whom police believe to be the mastermind behind the shooting, was arrested on Friday.
The shooting left two teenagers dead and five others injured last week.

On Wednesday, members of the anti-gang unit arrested a 20-year-old suspect at a high school in Soweto as he wrote his matric exam.
He appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where his case was postponed to next Thursday for a formal bail application.
Gauteng police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says the manhunt for two more suspects continues.
“He was arrested on 31 October 2025. He faces two counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder. He is due to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 03 November 2025,” adds Muridili.
