Bluesky Communications has a new CEO.
A company press release announced the appointment of Mr. Tangavel Barlen Lutchmoodoo as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2025.
The announcement was made by Peter Chan, AST Telecom LLC Board Chairman, following a thorough selection process.
With a career span of more than 25 years in telecommunications, most of it in key managerial and executive positions, Tangavel offers a significant breadth of technical and commercial knowledge to his new role, according to the press statement.
His career began at Mauritius Telecom as a telecommunications engineer and continued on to managerial roles in marketing. He then held executive positions in the South Pacific, including serving as Chief Commercial Officer and eventually Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone Vanuatu. Most recently, Tangavel was the Chief Commercial Officer for Vodafone Samoa.
Tangavel’s extensive telecommunications background is particularly relevant to Bluesky’s mission. He has significant experience in island countries and a proven track record in commercial growth, network, and digital transformation projects.

Chairman Chan also expressed his sincere gratitude to Justin Tuiasosopo for this leadership and service over the years as CEO of Bluesky. He also thanked Aloiamoa Anesi for his guidance and support during the interim and transition period.
