Health workers are providing healthcare services to residents in Kyaukme and nearby villages, including disease prevention, maternal and child care, school health programmes, and catch-up vaccinations under the SIA for children under 15.
Schoolchildren receive vaccines during special immunization activities conducted by the Public Health Department in Kyaukme yesterday.
The Kyaukme District General Hospital in Shan State (North) reopened yesterday to offer healthcare services to locals.
The Department of Medical Services in Kyaukme District established a temporary hospital in the Labha Muni Chinese temple in Kyaukme Township starting from 5 October, and provided healthcare services to 3,385 patients between 5 October and 1 November.
Similarly, the Naungpeing station hospital in Kyaukme township was also reopened on 20 October, offering medical treatments to residents.
The Ministry of Health makes efforts to ensure the coverage of public healthcare services, and township Public Health Department and six Rural Health Centres resumed their operations in Kyaukme Township, aiming to support the primary health services.
