Speaking at the event, Dr Sunandan Baruah, Director of Innovation, Startup and Acceleration (DISA) at Assam down town University, said the bootcamp represents a crucial step towards developing innovation-focused education. He said that students must not only be learners but also innovators capable of addressing regional and global challenges.
Nitin Kumar, Nodal Officer of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, highlighted that empowering educators to think creatively is essential to building an innovative nation, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The two-day programme includes collaborative activities, interactive sessions, and practical workshops designed to help participants understand the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation. Attendees will explore ways to integrate innovative thinking into education, encourage problem-solving, and develop strategies for fostering entrepreneurship at the institutional level.
