MBABANE – The EU-Eswatini Youth Advisory Board hosted the #EUGreenRoundTable2025 today under the theme “Empowering Youth with Green Skills for Climate Action, Employability and Sustainable Livelihoods in Eswatini.”
The event took place at Alliance Française in Mbabane and was organised in partnership with the European Union in Eswatini, Alliance Française de Mbabane, and Hlumisa. Young people from across the country attended to discuss climate action and sustainable development.

EU Charge d’Affaires Jose Becerra delivered the keynote address, noting the importance of youth-led initiatives in building a sustainable future. The roundtable was held within the framework of the #EUGreenDiplomacyWeeks 2025, a global campaign running through October and November to promote green diplomacy and showcase international climate achievements.
During the event, Becerra also launched the EU ReThink Waste Youth Challenge 2025, an initiative aimed at empowering young people to turn waste into opportunity and drive sustainable livelihoods in Eswatini.
