If Karoline Leavitt appeared to be a little starry-eyed for a second during Wednesday’s press briefing, it’s understandable: It’s not every day the White House press secretary is asked about President Donald Trump’s belief in extraterrestrials.
Carter then beamed up the question to Leavitt: “Is that true, and does the Trump administration believe aliens are real?”
Leavitt smiled and admitted she wasn’t in the loop about Trump’s opinions on life in other parts of the galaxy.
“A speech on aliens would be news to me,” she said. “That sounds very exciting, though.”
She added: “I’ll have to check in with our speechwriting team. And that would be of great interest to me personally, and I’m sure all of you in this room, and apparently former President Obama too. So we’ll keep you posted on that.”
Despite Lara Trump’s claims about an ET-ready speech, some people are skeptical that the president would ever spill the truth out there.
Back in December 2024, Joe Rogan remembered asking Trump about extraterrestrials in their interview before the election, and said “he was very cagey, very cagey…He didn’t tell me shit. It was basically like neither confirm nor deny.”
